Q:  Is the data Excertus™ collects confidential?
A:  Our cooperating retailers are the primary source of our data, without them we could not remain in business. To obtain and maintain that trust, we guarantee the confidentiality of the information we receive and WILL NOT provide any information to competing retailers, chains or franchises, or any government entity.

Q:  What kind of retailers does Excertus™ want to work with?
A:  We work with all kinds of retailers from a variety of verticals; convenience, grocery, liquor, and specialty retail stores, like gift shops and independent pet stores. Ideally, stores will meet the following qualifications:

• Store should currently be scanning 80% or more of the items with barcodes or have an interest in doing so.
• Stores should have high speed internet or be willing to get it within 30 days of stores acceptance into research sample.
• Stores should have a computer in the store that is or can be connected to the internet.
• Unless the store is a specialty retailer, items sold in the store will include some or all of the following: soda, beer, wine, spirits, cigarettes, tobacco, snacks, candy, or any combination of these items.
